Once, there was a Hare and a Tortoise. They were very good friends. They lived in the forest near the river bank. Hare felt proudness in his fast speed. Many times, he makes laugh at the slow speed of the tortoise. One day, the tortoise felt ill and asked him to run a race. The rabbit accepted the challenge. The race began, the hare ran so fast and was far ahead. He thought the tortoise was far behind and he should take some rest under shady trees. He lay down under the shady trees to take some rest and soon he was fast asleep. The tortoise went on slowly but steadily. He passed on the sleeping hare and reached the winning spot. After some time, the hare awoke and run as fast as he could and saw that tortoise already reached there. Now, he had lost the race and felt ashamed.
Moral: Slow and steady wins the race.
